It is as long as you dont ask for your passwords to be automatically saved to your computor when ever you log on ok.

There are a couple of ways. Make sure the workgroup setting on your computer is different from the work systems. Make sure network and printer sharing is not enabled in the network settings. Set the login to automatic so it does not use a password to start. You can set a password for screen saver resumption if you are away from the system and leave it on. Even with all this done, if there is monitor software on the server, they can see what is sent from and to your computer across the network.

You do need to understand that ANYTIME and ANYWHERE you connect to a network, wireless or wired, you are connected to a network!

If you are using your offices network, the admins of that system can indeed “watch” all traffic! That is just the reality, now whether they do watch or not is your companies decision. When you are at work, I would say use your computer for work! Then you don’t have “privacy” issues.

This is even true at PUBLIC hot spots depending on how that HOT SPOT is setup. Even at home, your ISP can (but probably doesn’t) monitor your “traffic”. Yes they can tell where you go and what you connect into so just be aware it can be monitored!

To keep your systems safe only use networks you know and trust!
