how can i configure my zone alarm firewall to allow me hosting a halo server?

it depends on which port you are using for the game. Most likely what is happening is the Halo server is using a particular port to connect with all the nodes and this is probably being blocked by the firewall. Unfortunately I don’t know that much about halo server to say which port
