How can I keep my computer from getting spyware even though I have AVG and Zone Alarm on my computer?

My computer continues picking up tracking cookies and the Trojan but I 'm armed with AVG and Zone Alarm. Is there a way that spyware can be prevented from going into my computer? I have been bombarded enough, thank you very much. HA HA. Please let me know. I 'm about ready to throw my computer out the window.

Do it, throw it out the window, then buy yourself a Mac. You’ll never have to worry about malware again. You won’t even need any anti-virus protection.

get a spy program like spysweeper that scans and blocks that stuff - the program always runs in the background and will block most of that stuff - it costa about $30 with a year of free updates

don’t worry much, tracking cookies are very common in all the computer and are not that harmful. The reason you are getting spywares inside your computer is because you have AVG which is a antivirus and Zone alarm which is a good firwall but you don’t have any Antispyware programs installed. I suggest you to download Ad aware personal, spybot search & destroy and spyware blaster from
With all the above softwares you are 75% safe from internet threats

You need an anti-spyware.
Download and scan your machine with one of these GOOD anti-spyware programs:
Ewido (Now AVG Anti-Spyware)
A-Squared:
SUPERAntiSpyware:
All the above have a free edition, that’s what you want to download!
And don’t worry about those cookies.
Cookies are just small .txt (text) files that by themselves cannot hurt your computer. They are not a virus, but some people consider “tracking” cookies to be an invasion of privacy.
It all depends on one’s level of paranoria.
Tracking cookies are mostly “3rd party cookies” from advertising servers. They can track your movements around the web in order to deliver to you customised, targeted advertising.
If you are using Internet Explorer for a browser, you can permanantly block all 3rd party cookies. Go to tools > internet options > privacy > advanced > checkmark “override automatic cookie handling” > third party cookies > tick “block” > ok > ok.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.
besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.
download firefox for free, Just have a try:
Good Luck, Best Wishes!!!

Tracking cookies are not too risky, you pick those up from quite good sites. Trojans are a real problem. If you have all the protection on I would sy that yo uare visiting some bad sites, which you have allowed downloads or programme installs at some time. If you can identify the sites you can include them in your restricted sites from tools/internet options/security.
