How do I turn off Zone Alarm?

Right click on the zone alarm icon in the system tray in the lower right corner. Click shut down zone alarm.
It looks like red and green sound equalizer bars and say Traffic on mouseover if there’s traffic on your network. Otherwise it’s a blue Z on white background.

You can turn it off or go in and tell Zone Alarm to allow Window Messanger. Double click the icon at the bottom right by the time for Zone Alarm. Look for an option tab of Programs. Click that and it will show all the programs that try to access the internet. Search for Messanger and tell it to allow everything where the red X’s should be.

You don’t have to turn off your security to sign on Live messenger.Go to zoneAlarm main window/programs control/programs and give permission to windows live messenger.(internet and local)
