How can I keep my computer from getting spyware even though I have AVG and Zone Alarm on my computer?

My computer continues picking up tracking cookies and the Trojan but I 'm armed with AVG and Zone Alarm. Is there a way that spyware can be prevented from going into my computer? I have been bombarded enough, thank you very much. HA HA. Please let me know. I 'm about ready to throw my computer out the window.
